Cobham plc announces that Allan Cook, chief executive, has been appointed as a non-executive director of WS Atkins plc and chairman-elect with effect from 10 September 2009.  


Mr Cook will become non-executive chairman of WS Atkins plc on 1 February 2010.


As announced previously, Mr Cook will retire from the board of Cobham plc on 31 December 2009.
